The project

We recently delivered a thoughtfully designed learning environment for Year 5 and 6 students, aimed at creating a space that feels light, warm, and welcoming. The design balances functionality with comfort, supporting both focused learning and relaxed collaboration. The space includes custom joinery cupboards, above-head shelving, and a buffet table, all finished in Polytec Tuross Oak to introduce a soft, natural warmth. Workstations feature white desk frames and pedestals, paired with Tuross Oak tabletops for a cohesive and calming look. To improve acoustic comfort, we installed Autex Cube wall panelling behind the desk monitors and added privacy screens to each workstation. The light grey panels help to absorb sound and reduce distractions. With large windows allowing natural light to fill the room, the space feels open, relaxed, and inviting. An ideal setting for young learners to thrive.
