The project

Clever Commercial Interiors just completed a new display suite classroom at Caulfield Grammar’s Shelford Campus, designed to showcase the school’s vision for learning environments ahead of its 2027 opening.

We were lucky enough to provide the joinery for these rooms, with the centerpiece being a custom-built unit that spans the back wall. Finished in Laminex Natural Oak, it features a fully integrated teacher’s desk with storage, a sliding whiteboard, a projector screen, generous cabinetry, and a soft seating nook at one end for students. This combination brings together practicality, flexibility, and comfort in a cohesive design.

We also supplied private learning desks with screens, designed to support focused, independent work. These stations offer students a quiet, semi-enclosed space that encourages concentration while still feeling connected to the classroom environment.

Throughout the room, smaller joinery elements, such as bookshelves, display units, and integrated seating, add thoughtful touches that enhance usability and warmth. These pieces help define zones for reading, collaboration, and relaxation, contributing to a well-rounded and engaging learning space.

The result is a warm, inviting classroom that balances functionality with a modern, timeless aesthetic, perfectly suited to inspire learning and connection as the school prepares to open its doors.
